This year has obviously been shaking up many couple’s plans for their wedding. Luckily, it’s still possible to get married, even if it’s not the way that people originally foresaw!
Hannah & Sam were set to get married this summer in California, but the world had other plans. They moved to NYC and decided to get hitched on their original wedding date, by eloping in their new city!
It’s no secret that Dumbo, Brooklyn is one of my favorite places to shoot. From the bridge to the waterfront, there are so many perfect photo spots.
The waterfront is also an incredible spot for an elopement ceremony. This one was just the two of them, the officiant, and me. We got there at sunrise to ensure that no one else was there, and it paid off!
We started the morning with photos in front of the Manhattan Bridge and on the Brooklyn Bridge. Then we headed to the Dumbo waterfront for their ceremony, where they said their vows in an intimate setting. It doesn’t get more picturesquely NYC than saying your vows and being pronounced husband and wife in front of the Manhattan skyline!
After the ceremony, they jetted right off to their honeymoon! Capturing elopements is always an honor, and I’m so excited for everyone who decides to just get married already and get married in the way that they want.
